Saturday Ride Report and Plan for Memorial Day

Posted: May 24th, 2009 | Author: ben | Filed under: Uncategorized | 2 Comments »

The ride Saturday was good… not great.   I was schooled in English and two of our riders took a spill while swatting at mosquitoes at Lincoln Beach.  They are both doing well but their bikes are a little banged up.  We loaned Lucy a rear wheel while she waits for her new one and we do not have an update on Marks steed.  The other four continued on and while it was windy we all felt pretty good for the 63 miles.  Thanks everyone for showing up.

We all chatted about doing the alpine loop tomorrow for Memorial day but I think we all need a little break from the punishment.  We will be leaving from the school at 7:00am tomorrow morning and doing the south fork.  Here is the link to mapmyride. It is about 31 miles and not to terrible to climb.  We hope lots of people can make it.  We kept it short so that we can all get home early and spend some time with our families.  See you tomorrow!

I’m OK and I took my bike to Racer’s on Saturday and they fixed my wheel for me.

I’m planning on riding with you in the morning, but will be ignoring any and all bugs and paying attention to other riders!

Any plans for a possible ride in the afternoon if the morning turns out wet?

    Mark,

Good to hear you and the bike are OK. You made a good point about rain. If there is rain in the morning then we will plan to ride in the afternoon. Lets plan on 1:30 if there is rain in the morning. I will post at 6:30am if we are postponing the ride.

    Ben
